About The Courts and McConnells
I started work on our family history so that my grandchildren will have a sense of their place in the world. My family might say that I am obsessed! They are however interested in my findings and since we have managed to breach some of the brick walls in his Irish family, my husband is also keen! This tree includes both our families but does not follow the lines of those who married into the dynasty!
Both my parents are from the Midlands as are those who went before them. The only exception was my great-grandmother Emily Stride who hailed from Hampshire. Bob's family are predominantly Irish, although his mother's family - the Jacksons originated in Warwickshire and ended up all over the world. I hope that you will find something of interest on this site and that if you find any connection with your own family you will contact me. Thanks to all who have helped in my research - I hope you are acknowledged where appropriate.
Finally, Eve, Jay and Rory - this is for you!

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
